Our Team

  • Jun Hiraga

    CEO and Co-Founder

    Jun Hiraga is CEO and co-founder of Synthetic Liquidity. Prior to Synthetic Liquidity, Jun was a managing director at UBS Investment Bank, where he served as the West Coast head of Client Trading and Execution. From January 2000 to April of 2012, Jun was a managing director at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America, where he was also co-head of West Coast Institutional Equities. Throughout his 30-year career on Wall Street, Jun held a variety of leadership roles and was instrumental in driving value to clients through superior trading and execution strategies.

  • Greg Kidd

    Co-Founder and Advisor

    Greg Kidd is the CEO of global iD and the former chief risk officer at Ripple, in addition to his role at Synthetic Liquidity. His investment firm Hard Yaka backs many fintech and regtech companies. He is a former Promontory, Federal Reserve, and Booz Allen professional. Greg was a first round investor in Twitter, Square, and Coinbase. He has significant positions in crypto holdings.

  • Norman Reed

    Regulatory and Strategic Advisor

    Norman Reed is a regulatory and strategic advisor at Synthetic Liquidity, bringing a background specializing in solving regulatory issues for companies building new financial technologies to his advisory role. He also currently serves as general counsel for Carta, with prior roles at Ripple and Omgeo, LLC. Norman has worked at the Security and Exchange Commission’s Division of Trading and Markets and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
